Avery, please answer the following questions: + Where did you get the Nvidia drivers, from nvidia's website? + If so, does this problem occur when you remove these drivers and install the one from the Ubuntu repository https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers ? + Does this problem occur in Unity 3D/GNOME Shell if you disable compiz? + Does this problem occur if you use the nouveau drivers instead?
