Since I upgraded I have been having the following issues:
1. sometimes after closing and opening the laptop lid, I will see the desktop
background, I can move my mouse around, but no matter what I do, it doesnt do
anything in that state.. trying the alt+prnts+k will get me to login, but when
I try to login again it wont let me in (it says "logging in" or something but
doesnt do anything)
2. every time I log into Ubuntu, the resolution is set to 1024x768 instead of
the 1366x768 I set it a second after.. tried doing graceful reboots (when ever
issue #1 doesnt happen and I have to go to another screen and sudo reboot..)
Please let me know what could be helpful.. I am almost at the point of
reinstalling ubuntu from scratch.. and since this is not Windows, I
would like to get to the bottom of this...
Already tried:
sudo apt-get remove --purge xserver-xorg
sudo apt-get remove xserver-xorg-video-intel
And ofcourse reinstalling them right after..
