Same problem here, was fine until Update Manager was run a few days ago. Now have a constant flicking, generally when using the touchpad to navigate menus or scroll webpages. Makes Ubuntu virtually unusable.
I've used apport-collect as advised to provide all files needed. As I can't use my laptop in this state, I'm reverting to a different distro so cannot provide any further information from now on.
