Pelle, I had the same problem with my Quadro FX 570, Xorg just could not stay alive for more that 40 minutes, while my home PC with 9600GT runs well. Then I uninstalled Nvidia drivers, installed Nouveau and there has not been any problem since. So for now I would call it an unofficial workaround.
