Boot the live session and at the first purple screen (keyboard=uman) press a key, press F6 and' if i remember well, there is the option nomodeset, elsewhere press esc and in the terminal line appearing type nomodeset before 'quiet splash' then enter twice to boot, this modality is valid only for one boot. --- Ubuntu Bug Squad volunteer triager http://wiki.ubuntu.com/BugSquad
