Hi,
not exactly a bug report, but I hope somebody can locate the fault and fix the
underlying bug. Yesterday, something (didn't get a warning what exactly
happened) must have crashed, so that I cannot use my custom shortcuts anymore.
[ALT]+C for example doesn't do anything, but should launch kcalc, etc.
Re-assigning the keys also doesn't work. I have no idea how to restart that
function without logging out or even rebooting the machine.

But here's the thing: Since then, the old problem with screen dimming
via hardware keys has been solved. It now does every single step instead
of jumping two to three levels higher each time. Therefore, this may be
related to #207473 #802276 #239413 #839281 #729944 #403263 #527157
#510138 #629358 #658187 and others...

So can please anyone tell me which application is providing the shortcut
functionality in KDE? If restarting that thing instantly breaks dimming
again, we're right on track of reproducing the error and maybe finding
the root cause of it.
