Hi there,
Thank you for your hard work in resolving this issue;
Since the fix doesn't appear to have made it into the most recent Ubuntu LTS,
is there a PPA with the latest fix?
Or perhaps even the link to a .deb download?
The most recent package in Precise is:
ii xserver-xorg-input-synaptics 1.5.99.902-0ubuntu5
Synaptics TouchPad driver for X.Org server
