I am experiencing similar mouse issues to those described by Nadine Al Sibai and in the first linked discussion thread.
If I have a browser open, either it will respond to clicks and other windows won't, or it won't respond to click and another window will. As I type this in Chrome, I've also noticed that the mouse pointer often gets stuck as the resize-window icon (bar with arrow pointing one way or the other) when I move the pointer outside of the clickable window. Really strange.
