The attached patch was a roll-up patch of patches that are broken out here:
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg01965.html http://www.absence.it/vaio-acpi/source/patches/patchset/ The author started updating this set of patches, the first chunk of which are here: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg02399.html http://www.absence.it/vaio-acpi/source/patches/patchset-v2/ Unfortunately, it doesn't look like this update includes the brightness fixes. I didn't find if he completed the second half of the patches, but looks like perhaps not. I think the next logical step would be to contact Marco Chiappero to see if he still has plans for this work. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/819002 Title: Brightness level control is not working properly on Sony Vaio To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/819002/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
