Brand new Dell XPS 15z. It has a Cypress trackpad, which refuses to do
anything, no mouse movement, no right/left buttons, nothing.
Someone else who had the same problem switched to Gentoo, compiled his own (
2.6.39 ) kernel, and trackpad worked fine there.
I've been comparing Xorg.log and dmesg output, to no avail. I've tried
modprobing every driver i figured had even the slighest chance of being able to
help, but no. Nothing.
This is on Ubuntu 11.04 i386.
I tried installing kernel 3.0.0-rc3, and then modprobed like crazy, same
thing. No movement in the trackpad.
Any suggestions?
