I run this machine with Ubuntu for a couple of years. The most recent version was 11.10. I upgraded to 12.04 beta 1 and flickering started. I installed 11.10 again and flickering stopped. Today I install 12.04 beta again and then installed mainline kernel RC6 and there is still heavy flickering/
