How did you install the nvidia drivers? Your symptoms indicate that
you've got the nvidia libglx.so (which won't work with Intel) on your
system, which is why 3D isn't working.
The nvidia drivers don't work on optimus hardware; the “Additional
Drivers” capplet shouldn't offer to install them anymore.
