I'm experiencing this problem since I upgraded from 11.04 to 11.10. I thought it had been a bad upgrade and I then did a fresh install and the problem remains. I've also experienced this on both Kde and Gnome sessions. Sessions without acceleration like Ubuntu 2D are not affected. My VGA card is : VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82915G/GV/910GL Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 04)
