ok, I resolved it thanks to instructions on this bug:

It's still a bug though because this is the default behavior, if it is
"color profile broken" as suggested then why does it happen on vanilla
installations? It's broken out of the box for users that are never going
to go to bugzilla and tinker with advanced settings in Firefox.
