I am seeing the same issue on my I5-661 graphics. All compositing is disabled - I am only using Metacity. I tried the mplayer test in #23 but see tearing using both the "-vo gl2" and "-vo xv" options. This is really annoying as I only upgraded to Natty (from Hardy) a couple of days ago and everything was fine then... Is it possible to "downgrade" to a more stable version of the intel drivers until this issue is fixed? Any work-around at all would be appreciated.
