Thanks. It appears that the intel video driver is causing Xorg to crash when restarting. I am moving this report on to the intel driver package, and the Ubuntu X people will probably want a full backtrace of the crash: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Backtracing
It should be noted that the initial backtrace in Xorg.0.log.old looks like that from bug 404439, but I am not sure how the Ubuntu X team handles duplicates. ** Summary changed: - [kubuntu karmic] kdm doesn't start correctly after logout + [945GM] kdm doesn't start correctly after logout ** Package changed: kdebase-workspace (Ubuntu) => xserver-xorg-video- intel (Ubuntu) -- [945GM] kdm doesn't start correctly after logout https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/404902 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
