I can confirm I'm not a Ubuntu developer. I'll look to see if I can video the touch support in previous releases as demonstration. I used to be able to use two finger pinch and scroll, and was really hoping to use Natty's other touch-based interactions.
Incidentally, I'm not using a Wacom product, but it may have been detected as such.
