Same problem here, Release 10.10 Kernel 2.6.35-28-generic i686 GNU/Linux GNOME 2.32.0 Keyboard : PS/2 (not a USB) Motherboard : Asus P7P55D EVO Nvidia graphics.
Looks like it may be specific to this m/b Presumably a kernel k/b driver bug with this m/b type? Not fixed yet, & very irritating.
