In reply to #32: I don't think this is exactly the same as the RedHat bug report by Linus Torvalds, which was about the rhgb-client program specifically. The symptom (VT_WAITACTIVE failing) was the same, and the investigations might help with the bug here, but it's not the same bug (the rhgb one got fixed).
