I just had a clean install of Ubuntu 10.10. I didn't install closed-source ATI
drivers at first, and checked direct rendering. It reported "yes" with mesa
drivers. And wine applications were running but slowly. Then I installed
closed-source drivers. Now, direct-rendering reports:
direct rendering: No (LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT set)
OpenGL renderer string: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650
Wine applications don't run anymore. I searched everywhere but couldn't
find a solution.
