Just noting that robertnull's workaround did not work here. This is serious. I have a laptop, when connecting to an external projector, the screen properties screen increases the Virtual desktop to handle both the laptop and external screen. Results: no acceleration, no video, no simple way to go back to a functional system for a normal user.
