I'm experiencing this bug too. It's freezing with and without effects, exa uxa and xaa, it froze durring a login, it realy is random the underlying system seems to work because hard drive activity continues, music continues to play etc. caps lock light won't come on during a lock up though. Are there any workarounds discovered? the previous posts seem discouraging.
