xrandr --output LVDS --mode 1024x768 --primary --output VGA --mode 1024x768 --right-of LVDS WORKS with compiz enabled with "loose bindings", problem with window textures not updating (for example, scrolling in firefox is not visible until compiz restarted or turned off).
