This bug also affects Jaunty (9.04). Just did a clean install on my Averatec C3500 Tablet and the colors very very messed up. Much like the pictures @brettgraham had. Running xfix from the repair boot option did not fix the issue. Adding "sisfb" to /etc/modules did fix the issue however.
Attached are some details on my display hardware, found using lspci -v ** Attachment added: "Graphics relevant output of lspci -v on an Averatc C3500 tablet" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/27517479/display_adapter.txt -- sisfb is not automatically loaded with a SiS display adapter https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/290727 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-sis in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
