I understand that my card is not supported. I can download the latest openchrome version and build it once my installation is successful. But here, I am not able to install the latest Ubuntu 9.04 available from the website. When a card is not detected, I was expecting that it might be possible to get it working with some safe resolution (I guess the technical term used is safe mode or vga=771). It would greatly help new users (and spoilt users like me) to have the GUI based installation. It seems that there is a fix, which is undergoing testing now and will be included in the official release of Ubuntu later. Until then I have to live with the trunk version. If that is the case, it is perfectly fine.
