I clean-installed xubuntu 9.04 (downloaded May 23, 2009), downloaded all
the updates, and had it working fine. On the same day, I installed the
OpenOffice suite using the application-installation tool in the
Applications menu. The keyboard and mouse both froze and remained
frozen even after rebooting twice.
