You have been subscribed to a public bug: Hi
The touchpad doesn't work on Ubuntu 9.04 (the latest) There is some information about this bug here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=7209519&posted=1#post7209519 Please note that I am JUST covering the touchpad issue here. The problem seems to be with elantech touchpads. From my understanding of this bug, what's happening is that if the mouse is not moving for a few seconds, and then the touchpad is used, it takes a little while for the driver to kick in. As a result, there is a sense of "getting stuck". Note that this problem makes the touchpad semi-unusable. Between this, and the Intel video card issue, the upgrade to 9.04 made my computer "hardly usable"... Not sure how to debug this. It's hard enough to make sense of it... Bye, Merc. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Touchpad gets stuck and is generally unresponsive https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/372090 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-synaptics in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
