Glad it's working for you!

Imagine being able to boot to a live environment with OBS already installed, thereby having all of the tools you need to do
high-quality live-streaming out of the box.

+1*100 And hopefully a VAAPI enabled OBS at that. Screencast
recording is the main reason I use OBS. I've never live streamed
anything.

Whatever gets added must be whatever is in the Ubuntu repositories. We can't deviate from that. OBS is already in the Ubuntu repos, so if it is VAAPI enabled, then you got your wish.

Now that the dust has mostly settled are there any plans to create
tutorials about how to take advantage of US?

I'd love to see (lots of) Youtube tutorials how to achieve task
orientated goals.

There are a total of three unpaid people working on this project currently including myself, and I can say that none of us have the time to dedicate to this endeavor. If you feel as though this is something that's needed, I'd recommend going ahead and doing it.

Thanks for the input!
Erich
