My first time replying on here. Downloading to try out, I've been using Ubuntu
Studio quite heavily for the last 6 months in my work as a classical music
publisher and am really happy with the results. Musescore 3 (added as an app
image) is excellent for small line ups, up to string orchestra and add Scribus
for the general publishing aspect and it meets so many of my needs. Gimp and
Illustrator are more than enough to cover the little amount of graphic work my
company does. We are stuck with having to use Windows as UK industry defaults
to Sibelius which, now runs reasonably well under Wine but is smoother on
Windows. Sibelius also handles large orchestral work better so far but I can
see in the medium term future that we will be able to ditch Windows. From my
perspective the only downside is the lack of a really good quality orchestral
VST and the so so renditions created by Musescore playback but neither are
Ubuntu Studio issues.

I'm afraid I'm pretty low on tech skills and time but if I can help in terms of
a different perspective in the music field with anything I will. I'm a dots man
first and foremost, audio second. I am excited to test the audio gear out in
some recording work for theatre click tracks coming soon as well as more
publishing work.

Thank you all!
