Thanks, Erich. I noticed that the handbook was on the agenda for Saturday's meeting, which was why I had hoped to join the discussion. As you could tell from the original PDF version, I was thinking about selling it at first, and even sent a proposal version to some publishers. They all felt it was too much of a niche market, or Linux/Open Source just wasn't quite their line, and a couple recommended putting it for sale on Amazon, which I almost did. As I've made it public domain under a non-commercial license, I'm sure if it winds up somewhere online, it will be kept free as intended. It felt like the right thing to do, and the book will be much the better for the crowd-sourcing effect.
