Hi all,

I'm just letting you all know that I'll be out tomorrow, 3 December, until roughly 10 December as I'm undergoing a rather invasive surgery which will be requiring me some time to recover. Right now, as of this writing, the following issues are being worked on:

* https://launchpad.net/bugs/2090864 : Jeremy Bicha tells me that a new synfig might be able to fix this issue, but I will be unable to take care of this prior to my surgery.

* Ubuntu Studio noble builds are still failing, latest looks like a transient issue with a snap download. Still trying to get everything aligned after I updated Freeshow to use core24, which needed gnome-46-2404 and mesa-2404 which didn't appear to have stable/ubuntu-24.04 branches and were causing the noble builds to fail. This was all an effort to get Freeshow to gain access to the alsa/MIDI interfaces, which it now has. We just need the proper branches.

* Audacity in oracular/proposed is validated and ready for release to updates.

I think that's everything for now. If there's anything absolutely urgent, I'll keep Element open after 5 December and can still be pinged, but not sure I'll have the capacity over the next few days to do much. Amy can still be reached on Matrix for Edubuntu-related matters, but if they're of a technical nature she'll still be deferring to me. She can also relay Ubuntu Studio items if needed. Bear in mind she's not going to be available before about 01:00 UTC most days due to her work schedule.

Also, one can drop into #ubuntustudio-devel:ubuntu.com on Matrix if you need to get ahold of the rest of the Ubuntu Studio team. However, I'm pretty confident that anything going on now can wait for about a week.

Thanks!
Erich
