Hey Jeremy! We already have something like that. There are automatic redirects set up to https://releases.ubuntu.com/<SERIES-NAME>/ubuntu-<SERIES-VERSION>-latest-desktop-amd64.iso on cdimage, for instance:
https://releases.ubuntu.com/jammy/ubuntu-22.04-latest-desktop-amd64.iso And every release sets up the -latest- redirect automatically. We cannot use the -22.04- version numbers as the redirect as this is the version number we release as GA, meaning that at some moment checksums of this file will change - which is not something people would expect. But we set up the -latest- redirects for this purpose. Those are redirects so the end filename should be the actual point-release name, so easy to check checksums for etc. Cheers, On Mon, 4 Dec 2023 at 18:57, Jeremy Bícha <[email protected]> wrote: > > The GNOME Boxes app has a "Download OS" feature where it can download > distro releases such as Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.
