Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

Hi!

I am using Ubuntu Hardy Heron x86_64, with current updates;
nvidia-glx-new      169.12+2.6.24.14-21;
xorg                1:7.3+10ubuntu10.2

When I login as another user on the second graphical console
(CTRL+ALT+F9), the first X session crashes after some time and GDM
restarts on the third graphical console (CTRL+ALT+F10).

I was not able to fully reproduce the situation every time, but it
happens quite often. (The computer is regularly used by two users at the
same time.) It does not seem to be connected with a single application
(Firefox, Evolution, etc.) If the crash happens, it usually appears
during the first minute after the second logon.

Attached please find the following info (after the crash):

Xorg.0.log.old
extended syslog (after Alt+Sys+1 and Alt+Sys+t)
lspci
lsusb
ps aux

Let me know if more information is needed.

** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
