Public bug reported: Binary package hint: splix
Hi, this may be related to the splix package. In the last few versions of Ubuntu prior to Intrepid I've had no problem using this printer. However with Intrepid I've started having problems. In the printer properties there's an error next to Printer State: Stopped - Filter "rastertospl2" for printer "ML-2010" not available: No such file or directory There are no messages in /var/log/cups/error_log but in syslog there is: Sep 4 10:14:31 matts-laptop hal_lpadmin: Printer ML-2010 exists but is disabled, reason: Filter "rastertospl2" for printer "ML-2010" not available: No such file or directory; use 'cupsenable ML-2010' to enable it $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu intrepid (development branch) Release: 8.10 $ apt-cache policy splix splix: Installed: 2.0.0~rc2-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 2.0.0~rc2-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 2.0.0~rc2-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status $ apt-cache policy cups cups: Installed: 1.3.8-7 Candidate: 1.3.8-7 Version table: *** 1.3.8-7 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Possibly related to: bug #193075 (here on launchpad) or maybe http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=439817 ** Affects: splix (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- unable to print because filter rastertospl2 is not available https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/264749 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
