Binary package hint: gnumeric
Okay, so I have some simple text data that I'd like to turn into cells
on a spreadsheet:
Beans Toast Bacon Egg Sausage
1 2 3 4 5
6 7 8 9 10
No problem in Hardy's Gnumeric 1.8.2, just copy the three lines and
paste into a cell to start the Text Import Configuration wizard. Three
lines of data appear in the "Data (from clipboard)" list and "Lines to
import" is set from 1 to 3. Everything works as it should.
Intrepid's version of Gnumeric (1.8.3-3ubuntu2) starts the Text Import
Configuration wizard, it shows the three lines of text that I want to
import, however "Lines to import" is permanently stuck on the setting
"From line: [ 1 ] To line: [ 1 ]". Changing the numbers by hand doesn't
work, and the end result is clicking "Forward" will only import the
first line of data.
