Indeed, that's something that can be useful for a lot of people, the first time I installed LTSP (on Dapper), I spent a week on the Internet to complete my lts.conf With edgy, that's quite completly automatically set, except this small thing. It's indeed better to set the default value to the server's one and then set some exceptions if we have different keyboards on some client than having all the clients with the US keymap.
