A fresh install of Intrepid's August 31st daily (since dist-upgraded) on my EeePC 701 has wireless working /almost/ out of the box. I had to _untick_ the Atheros wifi driver in System / Administration / Hardware Drivers, & reboot.
I'm afraid I don't use the webcam, so haven't tried it. I get the shutdown problem. I thought it was this one, but I am advised by others tracking that this is a different issue. In my case, clicking the log off button in the upper panel opens the "log out / switch user / cancel" window. Clicking log out takes me to the GDM login screen. Selecting "Shut down" from GDM's menu closes Ubuntu, but leaves my Eee powered up. Using "sudo shutdown -h now" has exactly the same effect. -- [eeepc, intrepid ibex] Some BUGS hope it helps https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/261430 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
