I've just installed kernel 2.6.27-2 and I still have the multicast bug on my nic... no ipv6 autoconf and no zeroconf discovery :(
This is my card : 01:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8101E PCI Express Fast Ethernet controller (rev 02) Also this bug seems to have something to do with how Realtek cards manage multicast as I have the same problem with the wifi card (8187SE) on my MSI wind : 02:00.0 Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. Unknown device 8199 (rev 22) The driver for this wifi card is not (yet ?) included in the kernel, but using the third party open source driver it works (with 2.6.24) pretty well except for multicast (multicast packets seems to be ignored as I can't see any with tcpdump, both for ipv4 or ipv6). I hope this can help... Le lundi 01 septembre 2008 à 23:08 +0000, Leann Ogasawara a écrit : > Hi Cedric, > > Thanks for testing and the feedback. The 2.6.27 kernel sounds > promising.
