This is a reply to all.  I think that this busybox thing is due to not
being able to boot.  It gets stuck due to in my case a bad upgrade from
gutsy to hardy.  I think a lot of guys have bad CDs and if they ran the
check cd in place of installing they may see a fault.  I got my self a
new big 500 gig drive and cut a CD and installed no problem.  In
conclusion the OS is okay once you have it but getting it is usually
easy but can mess up.  I think that the Ubuntu team needs to look at the
file transfer error recovery which I find to be a bit odd at this stage
with the TCP/IP internet.  Regards Ian.
