While the "sudo /etc/init.d/cupsys restart" is blocked it is possible to print and "lpstat -p" gives the following output:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ lpstat -p printer ML-1520 is idle. enabled since Thu 10 Aug 2006 23:48:34 CEST printer necp20 is idle. enabled since Mon 04 Sep 2006 02:38:38 CEST printer pdf is idle. enabled since Mon 04 Sep 2006 02:37:14 CEST About edgy: today I tried the i386 version on my laptop, cupsys restarted normally, i.e. no blockings. There weren't configured printers, but on dapper (i386) I have noticed the hang even after removing all printers. -- Cupsys hangs on restart and stop-start https://launchpad.net/bugs/55295 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
