In the 2008-09-01 live CD the trackpad responds to input, but moves
extremely slowly (~13 complete horizontal wipes required to move from
one side of the screen to the other, and ~26 to move from the top to the
bottom), and the "Touchpad" tab is still missing from the Mouse
preferences. If I should report these as separate bugs, let me know, but
it's still the case that the trackpad worked in alpha 3 but is
practically unusable now.
