Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager
I think the existence of two options in the update-manager right click menu: "Show updates" and "Install all updates" is unnecessary. Both of the options allow the user to update their system, but I don't think there is any useful difference between them. The user's life should be made as simple as possible - they either want to update their computer or they don't. I think you should merge the two options. In fact, to be honest, I'm not convinced the option "Start package manager" is helpful either: it can be started from the menu like any program. ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- combine "Show updates" and "Install all updates" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/263513 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
