Some more info. I verified that my printer is working, rebooted ubuntu, tried again (all pages, even only). Yelp did send a print job to CUPS -- it printed pages 3, 7, and 11 before I canceled the job. (I was expecting pages 2, 4, and 6). I'm now printing all 145 pages without getting fancy and have no problems -- except mourning the unnecessary loss of a tree. I can't find a place on this site for suggestions, but having some way for yelp to tell me which file it's reading would be a great help on the rare occasions I need it -- that would save a great deal of directory searching. Thanks again.
