Hello, I've updated from the internet my clean/original Ubuntu Hardy installation today and have noticed that problem is now fixed! Network manager is up and running as well. This update forced me to restart the machine.
Command "uname -r" on terminal gives "2.6.24-19-generic" in return. System is running smoothly.
