Public bug reported: Ubuntu 8.04.1
I have a HP Deskjet D4160 connected to my Dell M1330 via USB. The printer is detected and prints pages fine, however everything it prints is in the same color of dull red. (Think brick color.) The printer works correctly when I print using Vista. Everything printed from Ubuntu (including the test pages etc.) prints in red; however, if I print in gray scale I am able to get black text. hp-toolbox reports that the ink cartridges are both fine (one color and one black.) I upgraded hplip to the latest (2.8.7) release and this did not resolve the problem. As suggested on ubuntuforums (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=902801) I will test the printer with 7.10 and post my results. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- HP Deskjet D4160 will only print in Red https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/262841 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
