I have to agree here, there should be some way to turn this off. It may
not make much of a difference if you burn an image that is residing on a
local disk, but when the image resides on a network disk it's another
story. This feature effectively doubles the time it takes to burn a
CD/DVD image when a 100Mbit LAN is used since the LAN bandwidth is what
limits the burn speed. It's less of a problem with a gigabit network,
but still quite noticeable.
