Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.26
The Ralink RT2860 Wireless lan is a widely used wlan card, even more now
since it is built in many netbooks, incuding mine :-) , but its been
missing in the linux-kernel or resticted-modules..

Ralink provides a OpenSource driver, since version 1.7.0.0 it even works
fine with the Networkmanager used in ubuntu and all other flavors. I
have been testing it in Intrepid for a while now.. Support for the
Networkmanager just has to be turned on before Compiling..

It would be great, since Intrepid is a release focused on more bleeding
edge and not a LTS.. to see this Modul working out of the box in
Intrepid...

Original Driver from Ralink

I incuded a fixed source that worked fine for me, Networkmanager is
activated..

Here are the changes and difference between the original and the one I
uploaded to launchpad:

    * This driver will compile on 2.6.26.
    * The RT2860STA.dat file wont copy to /etc/Wireless/RT2860STA.
    * The wierd tftboot file in the root directory wont be placed.
    * Support for Network Manager is activated.
    * This driver wont trash the logs that bad anymore.
