Hi Andrew As it happens my Alpha-4 loading problem was a Ubuntu 8.04 Brasero corrupted CD problem, which I'll follow up separately in slower time. A WinXP/Nero7 re-burnt Alpha-4 CD now simply conforms to this thread, but I'll not waste your time with it. Good luck with your highly focused endeavours !
