I downloaded and ran Intrepid Ibex Alpha 4 today from its live cd feature, and my laptop was able to restart without issue. Hopefully the glitch has been fixed somehow. If not, when the final version comes out and I experience the issue again I will open a new bug report. For the time being we could consider this closed. Thanks.
