I can replicate the problem as root, but not as another user. That said, it appears to be a settings issue where the update or another action screwed up some settings for gnome-terminal somewhere.
A co-worker indicated there may be a key mapping file which gnome- terminal uses that has been corrupted. While this seems plausible to me, I would not know where to look for a file which is common to the root user and myself, but not to a new user which I just created. Any/all hints and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Until I get this working, my Ubuntu system is mostly useless (I'm over 85% CLI and not GUI work). -- Gnome Terminal won't accept lowercase 'a' key. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/260962 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
